Working with senior citizens and assisting them in transitioning from their homes to senior living can be so rewarding. I love that we can make it a positive impact. We make every job personal and make it fit to their needs. We listen to and respect and honor them. We never put our needs and wants before theirs.
At the end of the day and job is over, my favorite part is to see their reactions when they walk into their new home. It makes it all worth it.
I am a military spouse that has moved 10 times in the last 20 years. We also moved my parents 3 times in the last 5 years. I joined trusted transitions because I feel as though I can relate with the families that are going through a transition and I recognize moving and downsizing can be a stressful and emotional time.
My hope is that with the help and support our team can provide, families can count on us to support them through the process to lighten the emotional weight of the situation so that they may have more time to focus on what is important, which is the relationships they share. I have been a recipient of the help of many others throughout my life during transitional times and I am grateful for the opportunity to be there for others.
Also, I love working with a caring team of ladies that also show concern, love, and empathy from a lifetime of their own experiences and transitions.
When I was 12 years old I volunteered at a nursing home and absolutely loved it! Getting to know the seniors on a different level was so special and just sitting and listening to their life stories was amazing. I knew from that point on helping others was my calling in life.
I absolutely love our senior community and it brings me great joy to help make their transition to their new homes and lives in senior living as stress free as possible. It can be difficult to make such a huge change in life and helping to make their new home feel familiar and comfortable is what we strive to do! I feel so lucky to be able to work alongside such caring and compassionate women.
I have been in the healthcare field most of my adult life and caring and helping others has always just been embedded in me, especially the senior community. On a personal level, I have had to experience the same challenges that the families we work with do, so I have gained a tremendous amount of respect for what they are going through, as well as for our team at Trusted Transitions, to be able to be such a great resource for others.
If I can be an asset in helping families facing tough times transition their loved ones to an environment that is more beneficial for them, than that is where I want to be, and why I joined Trusted Transitions. I feel truly blessed to be a part of such caring and compassionate women helping to make a positive difference in the lives of others when faced with so many moving parts and challenges. We strive to make things as stress-free as possible through the connections we make because it is important to us for families to be able to focus on and prioritize the things that they need to.
I am a Colorado native and always been a caregiver. I started my caregiving career by babysitting and working in child care.I heard about Trusted Transitions through family and was ready to work with the older generations. In my spare time I love to crochet and participate in the Holiday craft fair season. I adore and spoil my dog Freckles on a daily basis!
I am working with Trusted Transitions because I enjoy helping seniors make a smooth transition during their move. It is a busy and stressful day for them as we pack up their home alongside the moving company. After packing, we go to their new place and unpack. Their kitchen, living room and bedroom are completed and pictures are hung on the wall all in one day. There is always opportunity to hear their stories and get to know them just a little. At the end of the day, the smile on their face says it all, they are home.
I enjoy working with seniors and their families, I love hearing the wisdom, humor and endless stories they share. I love being a part of helping our seniors feel comfortable, supported, and cared for during a stressful time like moving. It is a privilege to support them and make it happen. Working with Trusted Transitions allows me the ability to do this alongside a team of strong women, which is something to be proud of and I’m grateful.
As a child, I spent much time with my beloved grandparents, which gave me an appreciation for seniors and the stories they carry. Moving frequently also gave me the ability to understand how overwhelming moving can be and how a thoughtful and organized move can make all the difference.
